THE MOST FRECUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT SOYAELECTRIC
How much money do I save if I replace store bought soymilk by
home made soymilk prepared with SOYAELECTRIC?
|
The average price of store bought organic soymilk is $ 2.69 a quart.
The average price of organic soybeans is $2.00 a pound
This is how much you save:
1 Pound of soybeans = 3.5 quarts of fresh soymilk
$.60 per quart
A saving of more than $2,00 per half a gallon
(This are average prices)
In addition to this. It is not only the money that you save, but the quality of the soymilk that results from making it at home. It doesn’t contain artificial colors and flavors, antifoaming, or preservatives. |
|
Can I add flavor to my soymilk? |
SOYAELECTRIC is the only kitchen appliance in the world-wide market that offers you the opportunity to add chocolate pieces or cocoa powder in the filter or pure vanilla extract in the jar along with the water.
It will come out already flavored.
You can also place a combination of grains or add some oats to the filter.
If you add fruit, it is going to be cooked along with the soybeans.
Sugar needs to be added at the end, once it is ready.
This way you can taste how sweet you want it.
|
|
Can I replace regular milk for soymilk in all my
cooking recipes?
|
This is the best way to take the maximum advantage of SOYAELECTRIC.
Soymilk can be used instead of regular cow milk in all your cooking recipes: pies, cakes, vegetable creams, jello, desserts, inclusively yogurt can be prepared. It does not have limits. Simply replace it and that’s all!
|
|
Is soy protein destroyed by the cooking process? |
| No, this doesn’t happen, laboratory studies have demonstrated the opposite; the proteins do not lose any of its biological value and digestibility, they become more absorbable by the body. In each glass of soymilk you are consuming an average of 6 grams of protein. |
|
Can I avoid the soaking and make soymilk out of dry soybeans ? |
Yes, SOYAELECTRIC has the power to crush dry soybeansand to make soymilk, nevertheless its flavor is not so pleasant.
Even the commercial factories where soymilk is produced soak their soybeans before making the milk because this way they obtain a better consistency and flavor.
In addition soybeans like any other bean contain a sugar in its outer skin that is difficult to digest and causes some gas. This sugar dissolves in the soaking water and turns the bean very digestible. Therefore we recommended rinsing your soaked beans and discarding the water where it was soaked.
Soaking the beans for two days in a row gives soymilk a better flavor. But it is important to rinse the soybeans every day and to replace the water. If it’s hot you should soak your beans in the refrigerator to avoid fermentation.
Our best advice ever is to always keep soaked soybeans in the refrigerator. You never know when you might run out of milk. This way is easier than going to the store. |
|
Must I peel off all the soaked soybeans skin? |
No, This is optional. If you decide to peel them off completely your soymilk will have a more creamy consistency, but the difference is not so great and requires little more of work. |
|
What happens if I use the lower water level in the SOYAELECTRIC? |
SOYAELECTRIC has 2 water levels in both models. Although the amount of soybeans is the same. When having less water and the same amount of soybeans milk will be thicker and you will obtain a smaller amount of milk. This is ideal for less numerous families. |
|
Can I make raw cereal drinks, because I am on a raw diet? |
| Yes, but this only can be done with model GS-075. This model will allow you to make milk without heating it. Model GS-2000 will always apply heat as part of the cooking process. |
|
How many consecutive times I can use the SOYAELECTRIC?
|
Up to 3 consecutive times. Soyaelectric has being designed for domestic use only.
If You decide to run it more consecutive times, what might happen is that it will overheat. This breakdown is not covered by your warranty. |
|
How I can use the "Okara" (pulp left over in the filter)?
Is it thrown away? |
Okara is not a waste, it contains much fiber and the same properties that soymilk. It can be added to a variety of cooking recipes, like: pancakes, tamales, pies, cakes, etc. It does not have a dominant taste. Okara will "blend" so to speak with the rest of your recipe ingredients. In addition there are specific okara recipes where okara is the main ingredient used. Refer to the Recipe section in the main page of this page Web.

When I prepare Tofu, consistency is not the same than commercial Tofu?
Why? |
Tofu consistency depends on a large extent on the variety of soybeans used to prepare it and also the coagulant. There are varieties that offer more consistent curd. In our web store we offer a variety of soybeans that is delicious to prepare soymilk and Tofu. The coagulant we suggested is simply limejuice or vinegar, simple coagulants found in any kitchen. Tofu’s consistency is not so firm; it is similar to fresh Mexican cheese. Perfect to use as scramble egg.
If you want a firmer consistency then you must use a teaspoon z of magnesium or calcium chloride. Powder a supplement a tablet.

|
Can I add some flavor or sweetener to the filter or the jar during the
process
of soymilk making? |
In general the answer is yes, as long as it is not a sweetener or fresh fruit because they might stick to the jar or cook and change their flavor.
The flavors that we have added to the filter are grains of toasted coffee, chocolate pieces, cocoa powder and cinnamon sticks. Directly to the water in the jar pure vanilla extract.
|
|
When I can add some flavor or sweetener to the soymilk? |
Once finished to the process you can freely sweeten or add flavor to your milk or paste. |
Mix any fruit in the blender once the soymilk cools down to create wonderful smoothies. |
Guava, strawberry and banana, with honey are of among our favorites. |
75% cocoa powder, grain coffee and vanilla are the most delicious hot drinks. |
But mainly the paste of pecan nuts and rice or hazelnut do not have comparison. |
|
